April 2015 Stitch Fix

4/20/15

I’m a little late on my April 2015 Stitch Fix post for this month, but I’m happy to report that I did keep two of the items. For any readers who have are wanting to find out more about Stitch Fix, check out my first post about it here. For my Fix #9, I asked for items for my upcoming honeymoon cruise–both casual and nice (for the two formal dinners).

 1. Cheli Striped Maxi Dress by Renee C. ($68)

I was very excited to see that my fix contained a maxi dress.  My stylist are on the same page about them being a vacation staple.  The Cheli Striped Maxi Dress was priced a little more than I normally pay, but it is super soft.  I decided to keep this one and wear it on the cruise.

2. Val Henley Blouse by Skies are Blue ($44)

I liked the print of the Val Henley Blouse, but it looked like a pillowcase when I tried it on.  I sent this one back.

3. Jace Dot Print Fit & Flare Dress by 41 Hawthorn ($48)

I was excited to see another dress from 41 Hawthorn.  I liked the Jace Dot Print Fit & Flare Dress, but it sort of scrunched up awkwardly on my lower back and I wished this dress had pockets (whoever thought of putting pockets in dresses is pure genius!) I decided to send this one back.

4.  Toronto Bicycle Print Split Neck Top by Fun2Fun  ($48)

When I pulled the Toronto Bicycle Print Split Neck Top out of the box, I was super excited.  LOVE the little bicycles.  Definitely a keeper.

5.  Haiden Straight Leg Jean by Kut From the Kloth ($88)

You can see the Haiden Straight Leg Jean pictured above with my Toronto Bicycle Print Split Neck Top.  They included one permanent roll at the bottom, and I rolled them up one extra time since I’m short.  They fit pretty well, but I did not love them enough for $88.  I sent these back.

I was excited to keep two items from this month’s Stitch Fix.  I feel like my stylist is getting a better idea of what I like.  For next month’s fix, I requested more items that I can wear on our upcoming
Caribbean cruise including dresses for our 2 formal dinners and
excursion outfits.  I also asked to receive a skirt instead of jeans (since their jeans seem to expensive to me).

Which items would you have kept??

I LOVE the pieces you picked! I would wear that maxi dress and the bicycle top in a heartbeat. You are going to look so good on your cruise 🙂 Hugs, CoCo

I love this idea! I'm with you on hating to shop and most of my shopping it done at places where they will dress me. Which is bad because once they start my bill just racks up. Lately I do a lot of shopping on zulilly but you can't send stuff back if you don't like it (however they are good about crediting me if something is just horribly sized – which happens). I may have to give this a try.

Hi I'm Jess, and I call the Rocket City (Huntsville, AL) home! While I'm not doing my 8-5, you can find me hanging out with my lab mix Riley or starting a craft or project (sometimes multiple) around the house. I'm always doing my best to stay active and try new things. Hopefully you will stick around for the ride!
