February 2015 Stitch Fix

2/7/15

For my February 2015 Stitch Fix, I asked for more business casual options that I can wear to work.  This is my seventh Stitch Fix, and getting them in the mail never gets old! For any readers who have are wanting to find out more about Stitch Fix, check out my first post about it here. You’ll also notice a very needy canine that ended up in almost all of the pictures, after coming in from outside and rolling all over the grass : )

1. Marson Wide Leg Jean by Dear John ($88)

Even though I was not too excited to see jeans in this fix, I was glad that to see that they were wide leg rather than skinny.  I liked the darker color and that they were a dressier trouser jean.  However, they were too long (I’m pretty short, so this is pretty normal and I’ve just come to accept it!), and a little loose in the back of the waist.  $88 was already pricey for jeans in my book, and adding alterations to fix the length would easily put them over $100.  And that is not how I roll–these were sent back.

2.  Rios Mixed Material Cardigan by Ezra ($48)

I had mentioned in my last Stitch Fix feedback that I already had a lot of black cardigans, and that a black cardigan would have to knock it out of the park for me to keep it.  So I was very surprised when I saw another black cardigan in this fix.  Unfortunately I do not have anything good to say about this cardigan.  It fits big, is bulky, and reminds me of something my grandmother would wear (sorry MaMaw!)   The mixed materials were not doing it for me either.  Needless to say, this one was sent back.

3.  Dita Sleeveless Ponte Dress by 41Hawthorn ($68)

I was really excited when I did a sneak peak of what I receiving in my Stitch Fix and saw this dress.  I’m pretty sure I had pinned it onto my Style board on Pinterest.  Bonus that I didn’t already have anything in this color.  Once I put it on, I liked it but didn’t love it.    I was on the fence a while about this dress, and decided that $68 was a too much for “on the fence.”  It went back.

4.  Aleah Heathered V-Neck Dolman Top by Market & Spruce ($48)

I never know what to think about Dolman tops.  I feel like they look awesome on other people, but then I feel like they don’t feel the same when I put them on.   They always feel super baggy (and yes, I know that is the point of the haha!) I liked the color of this Dolman top, and I paired it with a Stitch Fix necklace I received a while back.  I ended up sending this one back too because I did not see myself wearing it.

Doesn’t she seem happy to be spending time with me?!?

5.  Tammy Dot Print Blouse by Pink Martini ($48)

I was excited to see “Dot” in the title because I figured this would be polka dots.  I LOVE me some polka dots.  What I did not like about this shirt was the neckline.  It was wide enough that even in the few minutes that I had it on, I was constantly moving my bra strap to not show.  This shirt also went back.

I was disappointed that I did not end up keeping anything from this Stitch Fix, but am looking forward to next month’s as always.  For March’s Stitch Fix, I requested a white or ivory dress.

What, you don't like giant black sweaters with fuzzy squares on them?

I'm totally bummed you didn't find anything to keep because there were definitely some cute picks in this post. I loved that all of your reviews were really helpful too. Your dog is so sweet. Hugs, CoCo

I like the dress but probably not for $68. Hope March brings some cute finds!
