March 2015 Stitch Fix

3/6/15

I’m excited to share with you today my March 2015 Stitch Fix! Yesterday we were iced in, and I’m itching to start taking my stitch fix photos outside : )  North Alabama has had some crazy weather here lately.  For any readers who have are wanting to find out more about Stitch Fix, check out my first post about it here.

1. Alika French Terry Dress by Tart ($138)

For my March 2015 Stitch Fix, I requested a white/off-white dress for a wedding reception. I told my stylist that I was willing to spend a little more for this special request.  The Alika French Terry Dress ended up feeling more work-like or something a politician’s wife would wear (maybe that’s because we’ve been marathon watching season 3 of House of Cards!).   I felt that it was not that flattering as it hit me in a weird spot on the waist. It also poked out on the shoulders (on purpose).  The only plus was that it was a nice material dress with pockets.  I did not keep this one.

2.  Emer High Wasited Cropped Trouser by Margaret M ($98)

I knew immediately when I saw these pants on my checkout slip that I would not be keeping them.  I don’t think I’ve ever paid that much even for my nicest work pants.  Stitch Fix must be thinking I’m rolling in some mad dough! haha 😉 I could barely get them over my hips, but then they fit okay once on.  I did not like how they crinkled at my knees. You’ll see these trousers paired with my next top photos.  They did not have any pockets.  I did not keep these either.

3.  Gloria Colorblock & Abstract Print Hi-Lo Tank by THML ($48)

I really liked the fit and color of the Gloria Colorblock & Abstract Print Hi-Lo Tank.  I think it will pair nicely a cardigan at work, and will transition nicely to happy hour.  This was a keeper.

4. Saxton Geo Print Henley Blouse by Daniel Rainn ($48)

I was on the fence about the Saxton Geo Print Henley Blouse.  I do not have any shirts with a similar print, and it is good for work.  However, the sleeves kept unrolling themselves.  I decided not to keep this one.

5.  Sawyer Space Dye Dolman Sleeve Knit Top by Market & Spruce ($58)

The Sawyer Space Dye Dolman Sleeve Knit Top was actually very comfortable and fit very well, but the pattern made it seem very casual to me.  At $58, I decided it was not for me.

I only ended up keeping one item from my March 2015 Stitch Fix.  For next month’s fix, I requested items that I can wear on our upcoming Caribbean cruise including dresses for our 2 formal dinners and excursion outfits.

Which items would you have kept??

Ummm do all these disparate gun companies get together in a big meeting to discuss the best ways to get their products to kill as many Americans as possible, or is done by phone tree?Oooo, since the evil gun industry wields so much power they must be bigger than Big Oil, The Big Three Car Companies, Big Tobacco, and Big Pharma put together… But exactly how big are they? Nobody ever posts that bar graph…

I had #5 in my last fix too, same color. I felt the same way, comfy and super soft, but didn't think it was worth the $$.

Good choice on the tank and I like the dress but it is pretty expensive. Can't wait to see what you get in April!

Hi I'm Jess, and I call the Rocket City (Huntsville, AL) home! While I'm not doing my 8-5, you can find me hanging out with my lab mix Riley or starting a craft or project (sometimes multiple) around the house. I'm always doing my best to stay active and try new things. Hopefully you will stick around for the ride!
