Not So Homemade Brunswick Stew

1/1/14

Hi everyone and Happy New Year!!  Since it is finally getting cold, I figured it would be a good time to share one of my favorite and easy recipes for the winter–Brunswick Stew.  I know there are a lot of variations out there, so feel free to take this recipe and run with it, you really cannot mess this one up.

Here is what you will need:

Depending on how much I am planning to make I usually use:

~2 or 3 cans of Castleberry’s Brunswick Stew ( I purchased mine at Kroger–I believe it was near the sloppy Joe mix)
~Pork BBQ Sauce
~Beef BBQ Sauce
~2 Cans Corn  (I like to use one whole kernel and one cream style)
~Can of Tomatoes you choice of size (I use diced because I’m not a huge fan of chunks of tomatoes, my mom always uses the chunks of tomatoes.  To each his, or in this case, her own : )
~Worcestershire sauce (tablespoon or so)
~Soda crackers and cheddar cheese for serving

Next just mix everything in a large pot of crockpot and heat through!  And remember, if you don’t like corn, don’t add as much or don’t use it at all.  If you like lima beans in your stew, add those.  You’re basically just using the Castleberry’s Brunswick Stew and sprucing it up a little : )

Once heated up, I like to eat mine with some soda crackers and cheddar cheese…yum!

Perfect for a cold winter day 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!
Jess

Hi I'm Jess, and I call the Rocket City (Huntsville, AL) home! While I'm not doing my 8-5, you can find me hanging out with my lab mix Riley or starting a craft or project (sometimes multiple) around the house. I'm always doing my best to stay active and try new things. Hopefully you will stick around for the ride!
